About

Editorial and sources policy

Regulatory guidance is only useful if it is accurate and you can check it. These are the rules we work to.

Sourcing

  • Regulatory statements are based on primary material — the regulation text, the international standard, or official UK and EU guidance — not on trade-press summaries or competitor pages.
  • Every regulatory page links to the sources it relies on, in full and accessibly.
  • Where a source is a secondary industry body, we say so rather than dressing it as official.

Review

  • Every regulatory page carries a “Last reviewed” date and a named reviewer role.
  • Reviewer for this site: ExportPallets.co.uk editorial team, reviewed with Palletmove operations.
  • Pages are revisited when the underlying source changes, and the review date is only updated when a review actually happens.

Language

Where the position depends on circumstances, we use qualified language — “generally”, “may”, “depending on the circumstances” — and tell you to confirm the requirements for your shipment. That is not hedging for its own sake. Export requirements genuinely depend on the route, the commodity, the classification and the supply chain, and a confident one-line answer would usually be a wrong one.

Claims we will not make

  • That any pallet is certified, approved or guaranteed compliant for your shipment.
  • That an ISPM15 mark demonstrates conformity with EU packaging legislation.
  • That used pallets are banned from the EU.
  • That every pallet requires an individual declaration of conformity.
  • That a generic 1200 x 800 mm pallet is an EPAL pallet.
  • That a photo review constitutes certification, customs clearance or legal approval.
  • Any accreditation, statistic, testimonial, price, stock level, facility or delivery promise that has not been confirmed.

Tell us if we have got something wrong

If you believe a statement on this site is inaccurate or out of date, email help@exportpallets.co.uk with the page and the source. We would rather correct it than defend it.

This is information, not advice

Everything published here is general information for UK exporters. It is not legal, customs or plant-health advice, and it does not create a professional relationship. For decisions that carry real risk, take advice from a qualified adviser who can look at your specific circumstances.

Tell us where it's going and we'll help you choose

Send your destination, pallet size, quantity and deadline, or upload photographs of the pallets and marks you already have. A person reads every enquiry.
